A New Paradigm

Here's a challenge:

Consider how you would look at life if you adopted a new or additional set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices while living your life. How different would things look to you?

Here’s a word to begin your thought processes on this one:

ide*al*ism
Function: noun

1
a (1): a theory that ultimate reality lies in an area that goes beyond fact (2): a theory that the essential nature of reality lies in consciousness or reason
b (1): a theory that only the perceptible is real (2): a theory that only mental states or entities are knowable

2
a: the practice of forming ideals (a standard of perfection, beauty, or excellence; an ultimate object or aim of endeavor) or living under their influence
b: something that is idealized
3: literary or artistic theory or practice that establishes the unsurpassed value of imagination as compared with faithful copying of nature — compare this with the theory or practice of acting only within the confines of what is practical and/or real

This word is relevant to me at the moment. And, I'm currently mulling over whether maybe I need to shift my paradigm a little more towards the middle.

I might bump heads with reality a little less often that way.
